Our journey to net zero

We have a detailed action plan in place to achieve our carbon targets, building on our strong track record of emissions reduction. Our approach focuses on six core initiatives which includes:

• Moving towards zero carbon stores
• Decarbonising logistics operations
• Improving energy efficiency of products and transitioning away from fossil fuel-using ranges
• Using lower carbon materials in purchasing criteria and product design
• Engaging vendors to drive and monitor upstream carbon reduction
• Building circularity into business models including through the rental and refurbishment of products.

Achieving our net zero target also depends on multiple external factors, including the decarbonisation of electricity grids, progress across the supply chain, and supportive government policies. The net zero transition also needs to be equitable and inclusive. Kingfisher recognises the importance of a just transition, and we are committed to ensuring that we engage transparently with stakeholders and integrate social considerations into our decision-making.
