Press release:
Kingfisher included in the Global 100 list of most sustainable corporations

8 February 2010

Kingfisher has been included in the 2010 list of the ‘Global Most Sustainable Corporations in the World', announced at the Davos World Economic Forum. The Global 100 aims to highlight the global corporations which have been most proactive in managing environmental, social and governance issues.

Companies undergo a rigorous sustainability assessment, using a two-step process:

  • The Global Sustainability Research Alliance select the top ten per cent of sustainability and financial performers from a universe of 3000 companies.
  • The top ten per cent of performers are then assessed against 10 key performance indicators (KPIs). Companies are ranked within industry sectors.

The list is compiled by Corporate Knights, a Canadian magazine for responsible business, in partnership with Inflection Point Capital Management, Global Currents Investment Management and Phoenix Global Capital Management.
