ONE Offer & Supply Chain Organisation

Our Offer & Supply Chain Organisation (OSC) is creating a simpler, smarter way of working that will give customers the high quality products they want, when they want them, at lower prices and with clearer choice.

For the first time ever we will have a unified offer with the same products presented everywhere in the same way, while investing in our own unique and exclusive products – ones not available from any of our competitors.

We’re using our global buying power to source all of our products more cost-effectively and in the same way from a wide range of international suppliers. And we’re distributing them to our stores and distribution centres more efficiently through a single, simplified, company-wide logistics network.

The OSC organisation comprises unified teams working across all of our businesses in the areas of Range, Sourcing, Commercial, Distribution & Logistics, Sustainability, HR and Finance.

Find out more about how we will achieve our objectives in the boxes below:

Our Range teams design, develop and edit our unified and unique ranges of products that will help millions of people to improve their homes outside and in. Working closely with our insight teams to understand our customers and how they live, as well as researching markets, locations and emerging trends, we will develop our own unique brands, managing everything from design to packaging and strategy. Our products will be high quality, low cost and long-lasting. They will be easy to build and install and combine sustainable choices with the best economics possible.

Our Sourcing teams source the products we sell across our markets, manage our suppliers and make the most of our scale to deliver the high quality products our customers want, at a cost they can afford.

We have a global buying scale of £7 billion; and the opportunity to lower the total costs of our new ranges while improving product quality. We're doing this by reducing the number of products we stock, designing new ranges to cost and sourcing high quality global manufacturers who can produce large volumes for a lower price per unit. We're also sourcing direct from factories and transforming the way we procure suppliers, levelling the playing field with more competitive tenders that deliver the best value for Kingfisher.

Our Commercial teams help our brands grow their sales and attract more customers by making our products more inspiring, with clearer choice and a better shopping experience online or in-store.

We work with the Range teams to deliver high quality products our customers will love, in a way that is easy for our stores and websites to stock, display and sell. This involves developing product information, pricing, merchandising, packaging and displays that present the same products in the same way across all our markets. This helps customers everywhere understand our ranges more clearly and choose the right products to meet their needs.

Distribution & Logistics

Our Distribution & Logistics teams make sure that there’s a good availability of products in all stores ‐ making sure that our customers can always find what they want when they need it.

The OSC Sustainability team is putting industry-leading sustainability at the heart of our unique and unified ranges. For example, when designing our new bathroom ranges, we will make sure:

  • All taps, showers and toilets are 100% water savings compliant
  • All furniture, storage, accessories and mirrors are 100% Timber Policy compliant
  • All products in the range are long-lasting and fit for long-term use
  • We create an independent living range for the elderly and disabled
