Low-carbon Castorama opened in Quimper, France

In April 2011, Castorama France opened a new store in Quimper, South Brittany, incorporating a range of environmental features. These include 330m² of solar panels to generate electricity, solar thermal water heating, a green roof for the building yard and a local nature conservation plan. The store uses 27% less energy than a standard commercial building (regulatory standard).
