Kingfisher receives 2016 Gallup Great Workplace Award

Kingfisher has received the 2016 Gallup Great Workplace Award, one of just 35 companies worldwide to receive it. The award recognises companies that create an engaged workplace culture.

Kingfisher has a variety of programmes running across the business that support employee engagement at all levels. These include:

  • customer home visit programmes for Castorama colleagues to help them see first-hand the reality of their customers' home improvement projects and the barriers they face to completing them. They return to stores with vital insights to improve customer service and are enthused about how they play their part in that.
  • management programmes to ensure colleagues are ready for their next role before being appointed, and to provide a pipeline of management talent from within. Nearly 700 Screwfix store-based colleagues are involved in these.
  • The LEAD programme - a pipeline of talent for senior roles sponsored by our most senior leaders - to build the leadership capabilities of high-potential employees from across the Company to help them move into more complex roles in the future.
