Sales in the year ended 30 January 2010 were over £10.5 billion, over half of which was generated outside the UK, with adjusted pre-tax profit up almost 50% to £547 million.
Kingfisher plc is Europe’s leading home improvement retail group and the third largest in the world, with around 840 stores in eight countries in Europe and Asia. Its main retail brands are B&Q, Castorama, Brico Dépôt and Screwfix. Kingfisher also has a 21% interest in, and strategic alliance with Hornbach, Germany’s leading large format DIY retailer, with over 120 stores in nine European countries.
