B&Q launches new 'kitchens' TV advert

The TV commercial is part of a broader kitchen campaign responding to customers who have said their want to choose the kitchen that suits their home and their lifestyle, without feeling pressured into mistakes by time limited offers and deals.

As Britain’s largest kitchen retailer, B&Q sells one kitchen every 4 minutes, and last year sold 115,000 kitchens, nearly double the next largest kitchen retailer. The TV ad which first aired on 23 October builds on the consumer research by following the intricate journey through a stylish, state of the art kitchen. It shows the quality and technology from impossibly close angles.  Unusually for a kitchen commercial, there is no mention of deals.

B&Q’s recent move to Everyday Great Value on kitchens - ending the practice of ‘yo-yo’ pricing and guaranteeing consistent low pricing all year round - is expected to have a substantial impact on the consumers’ expectations of kitchen retailers generally.
