Kingfisher is a responsible business with policies on gender, age, disability and race.

In 2012 we went a step further and launched our Net Positive programme, with an ambition to contribute positively to some of the big challenges facing the world, while creating a more valuable and sustainable business for our stakeholders.

Net Positive is a new approach to doing business for Kingfisher. It means going beyond achieving zero impact, and committing to make a positive contribution across four priority areas: Timber, Energy, Innovation and Communities.

These four pillars are central to achieving our ambition to becoming net positive, being the areas where we have a significant impact. They allow us to concentrate our efforts where we can make the greatest positive difference and align with material threats and opportunities for our business.

We also continue to maintain and improve standards on the range of other issues which are important to our position as a leading retailer, such as ethical trading or chemicals reduction. That's why we're also committing to manage and improve our impacts against 50 additional Foundations targets. These areas are what we consider the fundamentals of any sustainable business.
